In excellent cosmetic and functional condition. Manufactured at the Mount Vernon factory around 1956. Serial no. 16***. The Bach trumpets of this era have a very rich sound and a highly balanced intonation across the entire range. The valves and slides operate with great smoothness and good compression. Mounted on an M bore tube, possibly with a lightweight 238 bell, a very common combination of the period. Despite the M bore, it is by no means a small trumpet, with a rich, compact, fluid, warm, and pleasant tone, and easy, quick response. A comfortable and versatile trumpet. No dents. Silver-plated finish, with lower and upper caps, valve stems and buttons in gold. There is a discreet reinforcement at the outlet toward the bell from the 1st valve.
