I bought it in the United Kingdom and brought it to the country's best vintage saxophone luthier at Sax.Co.UK, who made it like new. The saxophone now sounds and plays perfectly: springs, pads, corks... all new. According to experts, it is an alto from the 1920s, built in Paris by a manufacturer who made saxophones for the city’s top conservatory students, including Marcel Mule. Saxophones from that era usually have tuning problems, however this saxophone is in the 440 range, it is not a bright-tuned saxophone despite its size, with the exception of a couple of intervals that are perfectly tempered.
