Although they were originally used to perform baroque music, many soloists and orchestral players are increasingly using them for the security they offer in the interpretation of complicated high passages, as well as for the clarity and lyrical qualities of their sound. The Model 9635 features a heavy bell to produce the rich, full sound of a towering trumpet. Still, control is easy on all registers. It is available with two bells and two different sets of rods, to convert it into an E or E flat trumpet; This makes it especially suitable for the interpretation of concertos by the composers Hummel and Haydn.
