Case cerrado this Flamenco guitar that I started in 2025. Top: spruce. Back: cypress. Silhouette: based on the tradition of master Chacón. Neck: cedar, with a mahogany spine in six pieces. Internal reinforcement at the joint: cedar, laid out in a diamond pattern, following the solution of master Chacón. Bracing: five bars, referencing Marcelo Barbero’s plans. Neck-body joint: dovetail, following the system associated with Ignacio Fleta, learned during my training at the Málaga Luthiery School. Scale length: 650 mm. Action: 2.5 mm at the 12th fret. Bridge: 12 holes, promoting a greater break angle of the strings over the saddle. Rosette: unique design, entirely handmade, with an elegant artisanal imperfection. Bridge ornament: matched to the rosette. Ornamental detail: fleur-de-lis in slight relief on the top. Baroque detail: subtle ornamental element at the base of the lower lobe, matching the rosette. Inlay: trapezoid-shaped element at the base. Top finish: satin nitrocellulose lacquer applied to the back of the neck. Back and neck finish: nitrocellulose lacquer provides greater wear resistance. A guitar built from tradition, but not a replica. The historical and construction references have been studied and adapted to my own decisions as a maker, aiming for an instrument with its own personality.
