Approx. 100 year old cello (Markneukirchen)

Very nice 4/4 cello with a warm, round sound and powerful bass from Wilhelm Herwig (Markneukirchen between 1890 and 1930). Overhauled and completely checked by a well-known violin maker in Basel in March 2024: the instrument was restrung, the bow re-strung, the fingerboard straightened, the bridge straightened, the varnish touched up. The owner and seller (amateur musician) had been playing the cello since 1962. He has stopped playing and would like to know that the instrument is in good hands. The instrument was valued by professional musicians at €9000. It is offered at 2/3 of this price. The cello is ready to use immediately and will give you a lot of pleasure.
