Yamaha 9335 CHS/5 Bb Trumpet Xeno Artist Chicago

Yamaha created the New York Series in collaboration with trumpeter and music educator Robert Sullivan. Sullivan began the project while playing with the New York Philharmonic as assistant conductor. The collaboration took place at the same time as Yamaha was developing the Chicago Series. The teams involved in the two projects shared ideas about tonal color, sound projection, and tuning accuracy, leading to the creation of a truly expressive instrument. This model was created under the artistic direction of John Hagstrom, trumpeter of the Chicago Orchestra. Yamaha focused on achieving the highest possible air resistance and balanced weight, and to do so rethought every element of the Chicago trumpet. In doing so, they created an instrument that is not only easy to play, but also provides a delicate response when played pianissimo and has a powerful presence when played fortissimo. All components of the instrument have been designed with input from artists around the world in mind, resulting in a highly evolved trumpet.
