Cello with case, approx. 100 years old
Very beautiful 4/4 cello with a warm, round sound and powerful bass from Wilhelm Herwig (Markneukirchen between 1890 and 1930). Overhauled and completely checked by a well-known violin maker in Basel in March 2024: instrument was re-strung, the bow was re-strung, the fingerboard was straightened, the bridge was straightened, the varnish was repaired. The owner and seller (amateur musician) had played the cello since 1962. He has stopped playing and would like the instrument to be in good hands. The instrument is ready to use straight away and will bring you a lot of joy. Accessories: bow, soft carrying case (black), new rosin. Location: Basel-Stadt
